In this blog post i am giving you my top tips for dealing with bad neighbors. We have all been there and you still may be dealing with it. I am going to share with you 6 Feng Shui tips that you can try today for more peace and protection

As i write this blog post, i am currently dealing with this issue! So i hope that if you are too, you can use these tips to help you.

We have been living in our current home for two and half years. Opposite our house we have a very loud, and rude neighbor. This particular neighbor wasn’t always like this, but over the last year or so, there is rarely a week that goes by that you can’t hear yelling, fighting, and screaming. This is definitely not the energy that we want around us or knocking on our door.

There isn’t much we can do besides sell our home and move, but we love our house, and we can encounter these types of neighbors anywhere. These tips will help you if you too feel like you don’t want to move but have a neighbor that is making you miserable.

Can bad neighbors affect Feng Shui?

According Feng Shui, your neighbors and the energy around your home definitely affects what can flow into your home.

A neglected yard, excessive noise, ongoing arguments, aggressive behavior, or even constant negativity can create what some practitioners call "sha chi" or challenging energy.

This doesn't mean your neighbors are bad people. It simply means that the energy around your property may not be supporting the peaceful environment you're trying to create.

Think of your home as a garden.

Even if you carefully tend your flowers, weeds growing nearby can still affect the overall landscape.

One: Reflect the energy away

Mirrors, according to Feng Shui, are one of the most powerful cures to redirect energy.

My number one tip to redirect energy that is showing up at your front door, would be to place a mirror on your front door, facing out. This will help to deflect it and it won’t come through your front door. If you are worried about deflecting positive energy, be sure that you are grounding good energy with a welcome mat, like this one, or planters on either side of your front door.

Round mirrors are best.

Always make sure you are also cleaning your front door, inside and outside, at least once a week. This will help to clear any lingering unwanted negative energy.

Two: Cover those windows

Negative energy can also come into your home through windows. Make sure that you have really good window coverings.

If you have curtains, be sure that they are one solid color, rather than patterned. This will help to create a barrier between you and what is happening outside. I love these ones on Amazon.

It will help bring the energy of protection and peace and create visual protection.

Three: Strengthen your properties boundaries

The edges of your property are so important but we often don’t think about them.

  • Is your fence in good condition?

  • Are your property lines clearly defined?

  • Do your garden gates work properly?

Well maintained boundaries are key when dealing with an annoying neighbors energy. It is important to establish where your property starts and ends. This will help to maintain energetic boundaries too. Nosey or gossiping neighbors will less likely to come knocking on your door.

Four: Keep the energy of your home clean

It is important to keep your own energy clean and clear when you are dealing with unruly people around your home.

Make sure that:

  • Your bed and desk are in the command position - this will help your confidence.

  • Clutter is removed from under your bed and in the corners of your home.

  • Your windows are cleaned regularly.

  • Broken items are removed from the home.

A home with good energy is less affected by outside influences.

Five: Visualize peace

The best tip i could give you is far beyond what you do inside of your home.

It is to sit for a few minutes everyday and visualize peace in your mind, you home, and on your street.

After doing this, you will find the problems will naturally sort themselves out.

My client did this for around two weeks and then one day, a for sale sign went up on the house that was causing her much grief. When she stopped giving the problem attention, the Universe found a solution.

Focusing on bad neighbors only invites stress and chaos into your home and into your life.

Six: Add water

Adding a small water fountain to your front entrance will make sure that the energy that flows into your home is clear and gentle. Water fountains represent peace and invite prosperity.

The goal is to invite fresh energy toward your home rather than allowing your attention to remain fixed on neighboring problems.

If a water fountain is not your thing, you can add a picture of water in your front entrance. Be sure that the water in the picture is clam water. Avoid images like crashing waves or stormy seas.
