From messy to magnetic! 🎀

We've all been there, your vanity overflowing with products you don't use, your desk covered in pretty but unused notebooks, or even a closet packed so full and yet, you still feel like you have nothing to wear. It happens to the best of us!

The thing is, your clutter isn’t just taking up space, it's also blocking your Chi (life force)

In Feng Shui, clutter is one of the biggest reasons why energy feels stuck. And - when energy feels stuck, areas of our life feel stagnant. The good news is, a little decluttering can make you feel lighter, magnetic, and aligned.

🎀 Fun fact: After helping some of my clients declutter their homes, almost all of them have experienced weightloss! Why? Because when we feel safe to let go of ‘stuff’ we have, our bodies also feel ready to let go of stuck emotions.

Here is your girly girl’s guide to decluttering with Feng Shui:

Declutter by beauty, not just necessity

Getting rid of things we don’t need is great but, if it is something that you love to look at and makes you feel happy, find a way to use it.

Maybe you bought a pretty mug that’s hidden in the back of your cupboard and you haven't used it in years but it makes you smile. Find a way to use it more. Place it somewhere you will remember to reach for it.

It is crucial that you surround yourself with things that make you feel good. That raises your vibration and allows positive energy to flow to you.

The things around you should always reflect the person you are trying to become.

The sparkle rule ✨️

If it’s dull, broken, and covered in dust - it's time to let it go. Broken items drag down your Chi, and dusty items collect stuck energy.

  • Toss the chipped plates and cups.

  • Dust your vanity and all of the products you want to keep.

  • Replace broken light bulbs and dust light fixtures.

Closet Feng Shui: Dress for your future self

Your closet is like your personal manifestation board. If it's filled with ‘just in case’ clothes, you are living in scarcity.

  • Donate clothes you are keeping for when you lose the weight. Except yourself as you are now.

  • If its ripped and has holes but you keep it because it’s ‘comfortable’ toss it. We all have those clothes that are falling apart but we hold onto them because they make us feel ‘safe’, in reality they are just keeping us tied to the old version of ourselves.

  • Organize what you are keeping to make mornings and getting ready feel easier.

  • Remember to leave room for your clothes to breathe. Space in a closet is important because it shows we are making space for new things and opportunities. If you have a closet so packed and full, you are probably missing out on opportunities.

Place an item made of the wood elements in the back left corner of the closet. This is the wealth corner, great for calling in more money.

The vanity glow up

Your vanity or bathroom counter is a mini Feng Shui magnet. If it's messy, you are inviting messy situations into your life. You may feel scattered, instead of put together.

  • Keep only the products you use daily, displayed.

  • Store extra products or things you use now and again, in a drawer.

  • Add accents to make it pretty. A vase of flowers, if you have the space, is great.

  • Organize items and use storage containers where possible to keep energy contained and not spilling out everywhere.

Create “breathable space”

In Feng Shui clutter steals oxgyen. When you declutter, you create space for love, money, and opportunities to flow in.

Things you can try today:

  • Clear one surface and see how the energy changes.

  • Organize and declutter one drawer.

  • Declutter one room or one corner.

Decluttering is an act of self love. When we think of it this way, the universe responds back with more love 💗
