Feng Shui tips for Virgo season + My current obsessions
Can you believe that it is already Virgo season?
Virgo season is here - and it comes with that fresh, organized, back-to-routine energy that some of us may be craving after a playful summer. Virgo is the zodiac sign of systems, order, and refinement. It is the perfect time to create a home that not only looks beautiful but also feels structured and supportive of your well being and daily flow.
On August 23rd the Virgo new moon arrives with a gentle yet powerful energy, inviting us to slow down, simplify, and create systems that truly support our well being. Virgo is the sign of refinement, organization, and mindful living. This new moon is less about big leaps forward and more about intentional steps that bring clarity and calm to our daily routines. It’s the perfect time to declutter your home, set realistic goals, and nourish your body with grounding seasonal foods. During this new moon, small consistent shifts can create lasting transformation.
Here are some Feng Shui tips to align your home and your body with Virgo energy:
Bring order to your entry way
I have said it so many times before but the entry way of your home will always be the most important place. It is known as the mouth of Chi in Feng Shui. Since Virgo loves organization, the Chi flowing in will deeply benefit from some order in your entry way.
Add some hooks or trays for keys and bags.
Use pretty baskets or bins for shoes and miscellaneous items.
Sweep and mop the area regularly.
Scan the area for items or decor that is broken or worn out and replace them.
Organize with Earthy bins and baskets
Virgo is an earth sign, which makes this the perfect time to ground your home with natural materials. Think woven baskets, wooden trays, clay pots, and natural fabrics like bamboo or cotton.
In Feng Shui, earth elements create stability and nourishment. They also calm the nervous system and reduce visual clutter.
Your home should always be calming to your nervous system. If your home makes you feel anything but calm and safe then you need to take a look at what is happening around you.
Refresh your work and study space
Virgo rules daily routines, work, and productivity. Give your desk or home office a Feng Shui glow up.
Keep and pens, planners, and tech neatly placed and arranged.
Add a vision board or inspiring artwork in your line of sight.
Remove unwanted items from your desk and it’s drawers. This includes past bills and receipts.
Perfect your pantry system
Nothing says Virgo like labels and neatly arranged shelves. In Feng Shui, organization creates flow, and your pantry is no exception.
Use clear jars or labeled containers for grains, pasta, or cereals.
Rotate items so older foods get used first (symbolizing good Chi circulation)
Group similar items together so cooking feels effortless and the energy is less scattered.
A streamlined pantry makes meal prep smoother and saves you money by reducing food waste.
Reassess your lighting
Virgo season is all about clarity - and good lighting is a powerful Feng Shui tool.
Replace dim or harsh bulbs, with soft warm LED lighting.
Add lamps to dark corners so Chi can flow smoothly.
Keep window sills clean to invite in maximum natural light.
Light brightens energy and helps you literally see things more clearly, which is so Virgo aligned.
Switch out seasonal produce in your kitchen
Virgo season aligns with harvest energy, so honor the earth by eating with the season. In Feng Shui, the kitchen represents wealth and health, so stocking it with fresh produce brings vitality into your home.
Think late summer/early fall foods: zucchini, corn, apples, pears, figs, squash, and root vegetables.
Display a bowl of seasonal fruit on your counter as both a visual abundance cue and a healthy grab and go snack.
Eating seasonally keeps you grounded and connected to Virgo’s earth element.
My current obsessions…
It has been a while since i have written about my favorite things. I received a message recently saying how much one reader loved to read them, so here we are!
This summer we didn’t do many big vacations, we stayed local and i really put my love into my home. Since we homeschool, our home is a big part of our lives and i really need it to be a place that is calm, balanced and happy. I too need myself to be clam and healthy since i am all of the things to my children. I recently started a new to me supplement called Primal Queen. If you didn’t know, i have always had anemia, i could never get my iron to a healthy level. Primal Queen has fixed that. Not only have my anemia symptoms almost completely gone, my energy levels have been improving (I am down to one coffee a day!)
If you have been interested in Primal Queen, i have a unique code that you can use for 10% off of your order https://www.primalqueen.com/ANJEET03031
I realize that i am a little late to the game but i can not sleep without my silk eye mask! My husband likes to sometimes scroll on his phone in bed if he can’t fall asleep right away and the light always bothers me!
A silk eye mask has done wonders for my sleep and helps me to stay sleeping. If you don’t have one, i highly recommend you grab one.
Ok, so call me crazy but i am so obsessed with good quality, farm fresh eggs. Bonus points if they have different colored shells! This summer we have been volunteering at a local farm and my children have been going to farm school. We have learnt so much about the running of a farm and i am already planning to buy a chicken coop with my own chickens. In the last few years we have switched to a whole food, locally grown diet. We have kept it simple and only shop at local businesses (and maybe Costco!) for all the food that we buy and eat. It has been a game changer and has done wonders for my hormones and skin.
I have recently been drinking a lot of dandelion tea. Dandelion root has many benefits even though we often just think of it as a weed.
Baskets for organizing everything! Everything looks better in a pretty basket. Not only are baskets perfect wood and earth energy, they provide a grounding element to your home.
I have recently been going through all of my bathroom drawers and cupboards and buying drawer organizers from Amazon. Opening a drawer and seeing everything organized and pretty just makes me feel so much calmer and like i have my life together!
I have also been getting a lot of requests for Feng Shui home consultations. Even though i did a step back for a while to focus on other projects, it has been fun to meet clients from all over the world. It also makes me happy that more and more people are understanding the importance of the energy in our environments. A happy home is my love language. If it calls to you, you can grab yours below.
