My Summer Reading list
The books I will be reading this summer ☀️
Reading is a huge part of my life! I aim to finish one book a month and try to take 20 minutes out if every day to read.
Last month I finished The monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma and, it was so good! I highly recommend it.
I am currently in the middle of The Artist’s way by Julie Cameron. This book is a little different as it is split into 12 weeks with exercises and a different theme each week.
I am definitely embracing my inner artist these days.
The author tells the reader to embrace artist dates each week. This where you would take yourself out and do something new or inspiring. This weekend I took myself out on an artist date to my favorite book store to find books to read this summer.
I love to read. Something about holding a book and physically turning the pages is therapeutic to me. I have tried audio books but, they don’t engage me as much as having the physical book. I want to be able to re-read sentences that move me and, really immerse myself in the authors words.
These days we use technology for almost everything, so I love that I can put my phone down, head to my balcony and grab my current read! I also tend to not follow trending books and just read the books I feel drawn to.
My Summer reading list
Hungry Woman by Pauline Cox.
As I get older my health is becoming more of a priority. I lived my 20's neglecting my own needs as I was having children from ages 24 to 29. Now that I am in my 30's my health is something I want to fix as naturally as possible. Starting with my diet! I am excited to dig into this one.
2. Ritual baths by Deborah Hanekamp. This book is gorgeous! Baths to me, are a treat! A luxurious long soak in my bath with no distractions is bliss. I love the thought of drawing a bath at certain times of the month and creating rituals around them. I am huge believer in putting intention behind everything we do.
3. Life Styled by Shira Gill. Becoming more organized is something I have been working on for a while. Although I mostly live in my feminine energy, add little masculine energy is needed. I am also working on creating a capsule wardrobe, I am excited for that!
4. The Healing Power of Hormones by Dr Emilia Vuorisami. I have been doing some research on oxytocin and came across this book. Again, I am on my wellness journey and I want to be taking care of every area. Between clients, taking care of my home, my children and other things life gives me, keeping hormones balanced is key to handling it all.
As a Feng Shui consultant, the books you keep tell a story. Keeping books about debt can keep us in lack, keeping books about losing weight can keep us feeling unhealthy. Edit your book shelf as your life evolves and changes.
