Inspired by the Ocean 🐚

Summer is pretty much here! I love when the seasons change, it is always a new opportunity to change my home decor. Moving with the flow of nature and it’s seasons is crucial for manifesting in harmony with the universe.

We have to flow in order to keep evolving and growing. Staying the same will always get us the same results.

My Pinterest feed is full of home decor images that are inspired by the Ocean and I will tell you, it makes me so happy.

It also had me thinking about the element of water and how much it relates to the flow of prosperity.

In Feng Shui, the water element is also connected to the Career area of your home and we should be activating it to help us succeed.

Now, I have manifested amazing things by activating my career sector. Not only for myself, but i have used it to manifest big opportunities through my husband, as he is the main breadwinner in our home. From an influx of big clients and even clients paying in full and on time, when we set the intention and then decorate, we can create magic ✨️

The language often used to describe money is closely linked to water. We often use phrases like cash flow, liquid assets etc when we refer to it.

So why not use some ocean inspired home decor in our career sector, to help us create that cash flow and even the flow of opportunities.

✨️How to find your career area

The career sector, according to the Bagua map, is the front middle section of your home. For a lot of us this is often the front entrance, or close to it. Perfect for inviting new opportunities and money.

I love seashells 🐚 they are so pretty, each one is unique and created so perfectly. I place them in my home in my career and wealth area to link them together.

Here are some ways to decorate with seashells 🐚

  • Adorn your bathroom with ocean elements. Fill a bowl with shells or hang framed shell art. This not only looks serene but, balances the water element in the bathroom with grounding textures.

  • Use shells to hold jewelry, crystals or incense. Larger seashells like scallops or clam shells would be perfect for this.

  • Decorate shelves and tables with shells clusters. Clusters shells with elements like driftwood or coral to blend elements. Avoid use too many shells as this can cause clutter.

  • Incorporate seashell art or mirrors. These bring oceanic energy in a structured, decorative way. Always use mirrors to reflect beauty and amplify calming Chi.

  • Make a shells garland or hanging mobile. Not only are you using your creative energy, you are also inviting gentle movement into your space.

What to place in our career area for success ✨️

Before we start, we have to make sure we set strong intentions. I like to do this using my journal.

What do we want to change in our careers? Do we want a new one completely? How would it feel to have the perfect job?

If we are manifesting through our partners - What new opportunity would feel so good and change your lives? How much money would make you feel abundant? If your partner received a pay rise, how would that feel and how much is now coming in?

Get specific and clear. Now we can decorate.

The career sector favors the colors blue and black as they represent water.

We can use artwork that uses these colors or, decor accents like blue pillows or a black rug.

Ocean art with gentle, calm waves is a perfect addition.

If you or your partner work for a company, frame the logo in a black frame and place it there.

You can also do this in the Fame and reputation area (back middle) in a red frame to link the too together.

This will help bring recognition in the work place. Often times, this brings a raise in pay too!

Use shells and place a few in the career sector and the same amount in the wealth area.

In Feng Shui, the bagua map areas are all linked together. In order to have balance and harmony in all areas, we must have all areas activated and the energies in alignment. This is why it is such a powerful tool!

Glass is a material that represents water, we can use sea glass or vases with soft, rounded shapes to represent the flow of gentle water. Fill them with shells for summer!

Similarly mirrors have the same affect as glass. If you do place a mirror in the area, be mindful of what it reflects and never place a mirror directly facing the front door.

In the Feng Shui element cycle, metal is used to strengthen the water element and water strengthens the wood element. We can use metal and wood in our career sector to boost the Chi.

Wood is also the element that represents prosperity and will benefit the energy of the career sector. Use ocean inspired driftwood decor or, a lush plant in a blue glass vase.

To add some metal, you can place some coins in a wooden or glass dish to keep the elements contained and in balance.

Let your home flow like the tide - beautiful, natural and full of grace 🌊
