How to set up a kitchen that supports your body and your bank account ⚡️

When it comes to wellness and abundance, your kitchen sets the foundation.

It’s where you nourish your body, regulate your hormones, and even shape your mindset around money. But if your kitchen is cluttered, chaotic and hard to use, it can quietly sabotage your health and goals.

Here is how to set up your kitchen for real results - hormonal balance, ease, and a mindset of abundance - without getting into anything too woo woo.

🍓 Start with visibility: What you see shapes your choices

If the first thing you see when you enter your kitchen is junk food, coffee, or clutter, it trains your brain into craving quick fixes and ignore long term energy. This is how we disrupt healthy hormonal balance. We then feel low energy, sad, riddled with anxiety, and our sleep greatly suffers.

Instead do this:

  • Place a bowl of fresh fruit on the counter. This not only symbolizes abundance but also will help us reach for fruit instead of a box of cookies. Fresh fruit on the counter that looks pretty and appealing will spark joy.

  • Store snacks, sweetners, and processed foods behind closed doors.

  • Keep supplements where you can see them easily so you will actually use them.

Today, we live in a world of convenience. The packaged food is easy, it’s just there, but it is ruining our bodies and effects our mental health in more ways then we think.

Before you know it, one cookie turns into 4, followed by a lot of guilt and self loathing!

🍒 Declutter your pantry: Cortisol friendly shelves

A messy pantry = decision fatigue = cortisol spike. That's not good for your hormones or your wealth mindset.

What is cortisol?

Cortisol is a hormone produced by your adrenal glands that plays a key role in the body’s stress response.

Often called the “stress hormone,” it helps regulate metabolism, blood sugar levels, and inflammation.

In small doses, cortisol is essential—it gives you energy, helps you wake up in the morning, and supports your body during times of pressure.

But when cortisol levels stay high due to chronic stress, it can lead to fatigue, weight gain (especially around the belly), sleep issues, and even hormone imbalances. Managing stress is crucial to keeping cortisol in check and supporting overall well-being.

Do this:

  • Group items by category: grains, snacks, canned goods etc.

  • Use clear containers for storage so you know what you have.

  • Toss expired foods and anything you haven't used in 6 months.

✨️ Color matters: Use warm neautrals and Earth tones

Feng Shui teaches that certain colors support stability, nourishment, and prosperity. Skip the bright reds (which can overstimulate your nervous system) and go for soft, grounding tones.

Do this:

Use neutral dish towels, beige or light pink mugs, wood or bamboo trays.

Add small accents like a warm-toned fruit bowl or gold-accented glass jars for a subtle abundance vibe.

The color Blue is also said to help curb appetite. Decorate with some blue if your goal is to lose extra weight.

☀️ Set up a smooth morning flow

When mornings are stressful, our hormones balances suffer - your blood sugar, cortisol, and estrogen levels can all be thrown off.

Do this:

Create a morning zone. Keep mugs, your morning drink items, protein powders, supplements together in one spot.

Use a small tray or drawer to hold your vitamins and supplements for the day.

Batch prep your smoothie ingredients in freezer bags to avoid decision fatigue.

In the summer my elderly grandparents come and stay with me for a few weeks. My grandma is 84 and wakes up very early to make tea and eat breakfast. To make sure she has everything she needs, I put her tea bags, the bread, her mug and spoon in one corner. She always tells me how much she enjoys this. It only takes me minutes to prepare the night before but makes a big difference to her day! Try this for yourself or for your children.

💡 Lighting = Energy

Fluorescent lights are harsh. Soft, natural lighting helps lower cortisol and support melatonin rhythm, which affect everything from estrogen balance to sleep.

Do this:

Use warm toned lightbulbs or under cabinet lighting.

Open all blinds during the day ti let in natural light while you prep meals.

🧺 Organize for ease, not perfection

An abundant kitchen is one where things are easy to find, easy to use, and don’t make you dread cooking.

Do this:

Store your most-used pots, knives, and cooking tools within easy reach.

Keep your counters clear except for 2–3 daily essentials (like a pretty cutting board, fruit bowl, and blender).

Use a lazy Susan or pull-out bins to make corners and deep cabinets usable.

💚 Keep it stocked with smart staples

Take one day a week, Sundays are good for this, to plan your meals and create grocery lists for the week ahead. When you create a meal plan, you are not scrambling for ideas and are less likely to order take out. Don't just plan dinner, plan lunches and breakfast too.

Also, scrambling to find something to eat is very low vibe energy. This energy is then transferred to what you eat.

Do this:

Always have: olive oil, eggs, leafy greens, bone broth, chickpeas, and dark chocolate.

Use Amazon Subscribe & Save or grocery delivery to keep these flowing without last-minute runs.

You don’t need a high-end renovation or a “manifestation” candle to call in better health or more wealth.

Sometimes, just making your kitchen work for you—not against you—is enough to shift everything.

✨ Health and abundance start with what’s on your plate—and how easy it is to get it there.
