The lazy girl's guide to Feng Shui
Because our life is precious 🌸
Let's face it, we love our homes and we love ourselves but do we really want to spend all weekend trying to perfect the Feng Shui in our homes? No. We want to rest, to do all the things that make us happy.
Enter: The lazy girls guide to Feng Shui - a ridiculously easy way to shift the energy of your home without moving your couch, grabbing your compass, or burning sage at sunrise.
You can Feng Shui your home and improve Chi, by making a few tweaks that feel so effortless and take up no time at all. The best part is, doing these small things creates positive changes to your home, your family, and your life.
Also, fact, I manifest my biggest income weekends when im in my lazy era. Why? Because relaxation is feminine energy and feminine energy is the energy of receiving more.
This is for you if you want to feel more abundant, high vibe, and put together but in the most low maintenance way possible.
🌸 What is Feng Shui? (The lazy girls version)
For a minute, let's forget about the Bagua Map, the compass directions, and complicated rules. Feng Shui is simply how your space makes you feel. That’s it!
Does your home stress you out or soothe you? Does it reflect who you are becoming… or who you were 5 years ago?
If it’s giving “hot mess mom vibes” instead of “elegant stay at home queen” don’t worry, you just need to make a few, lazy girls approved, tweaks. No stress needed.
Lazy girls Feng Shui rules ✨️
Clear one surface. Just one.
Pick your nightstand, your bathroom counter, or your coffee table.
Clear it
Wipe it
Put something pretty and purposeful on it
Why it works: Clearing surfaces makes space energetically. Not only for good things to come into your home and life but, in your mind. A cluttered surface can have you creating and attracting chaos.
🧼 Lazy girl tip: Set a two minutes timer. Take everything off, put it away, and wipe.
2. Open a window for 5 minutes. This is probably the simplest and most effective way to welcome in new energy with zero effort.
Why it works: In Feng Shui, air = Chi (life force). If your home feels stuck, the energy is too.
🧼 Lazy girl tip: Do it while you brush your teeth or scroll on your phone.
3. Throw out 3 ugly things.
Yes, you have permission. That chipped mug, that charger in a the drawer that you hold on to, that random Tupperware lid you keep in the cupboard. This can also be something we find hideous, like art work, or a blanket that makes us itch.
Sometimes, we hold onto the most random, useless things. This is lack mentality. If it serves no purpose let it go. Notice how you feel after.
Why it works: Ugly, useless stuff that we hold onto sends a message. The message that we are settling for things and experiences that don’t make us happy. We don’t do that anymore.
🧼 Lazy girl tip: Make it fun, toss three things a week that you hate and notice how the energy in your home shifts.
4. Pretty up one drawer you use daily. Try the cutlery drawer or your makeup drawer.
Go through it
Toss out expired stuff
Wipe it down
Make it pretty with drawer organizer or lining
Why it works: These hidden areas affect our energy daily. Our subconscious mind knows the mess is there all the time. Plus a pretty drawer = a micro moment of joy.
🧼 Lazy girl tip: Don't organize the whole house. Choose one drawer weekly.
5. Add something soft and feminine. Your home should hug you back.
A cozy throw
A silk pillowcase
A fuzzy robe
A floral tea towel
Why it works: Feminine energy is the receiving energy that most homes lack. It also soothes the nervous system allowing receiving to feel natural.
🧼 Lazy girl tip: Shop in your own home. Move a blanket, a piece or art, or pillows from one room to another.
6. Put a bowl of fruit on the kitchen counter. Seriously a bowl of 9 lemons or oranges = instant upgrade.
Why it works: In Feng Shui, fresh fruit symbolizes abundance, health, and joy.
🧼 Lazy girl tip: Grocery store + Cute bowl = done. You can even be lazier and order both online!
7. Make your bed like a hotel. Not perfectly, jusy fix the sheets and fluff the pillows.
Why it works: Your bedroom is your recharge station. Treating yourself with care shows the universe you value you.
🧼 Lazy girl tip: Keep a neutral thorw at the end of the bed for a polished look in 10 seconds flat.
Feng Shui isn’t about being perfect or spiritual or even “into energy stuff.”
It’s about making your space feel so good that it starts working for you.
Your home can:
Calm your nervous system
Inspire new ideas
Invite more abundance
Support your daily glow-up
And you can do it all in leggings with dry shampoo in your hair.
Because lazy girls? We still run the world. We just do it with soft throws and clean counters.
