Harvesting Prosperity: Feng Shui for fall energy flow
Each new season I aim to bring to you an article to help support you, no matter what phase of life you are in. These articles will have an online magazine feel to them and will include rituals, a crystal of the month feature, and lifestyle tips to help you succeed, starting with The Fall Harvest Issue 🍂
The leaves are falling, the air is crisp, and pumpkin spice everywhere, Fall is in the air.
Nature reminds us of something powerful, this is the season of harvest. All year long, we plant seeds, ideas, projects, and goals - and in Autumn we get to assess. What worked and what didn’t? What exceeded what we thought was possible? And, Where do we need to rearrange our thoughts and beliefs?
Feng Shui offers us beautiful ways to mirror this cycle in our homes so we know where we need more support and what we can let go of.
🍂Why Autumn is the season of abundance
In Feng Shui, autumn is connected to the metal element - think clarity, focus, and refinement. It is time to clear away what no longer serves us, polish what is valuable, and make space for wealth to flow.
When you sync your home with the rhythms of the season, you can create an energetic alignment that magnetizes opportunities, money, and blessings.
✨️Feng Shui prosperity tips for Fall
Refresh with Autumn tones
Just as nature moves with the seasons, our homes should too. Bring the colors you see outside, in. This may look like burnt orange throw pillows, throw blankets in shades of yellow, and earthy browns.
These warmer tones reflect the richness that is found in nature and therefore will help you activate prosperity Chi.
Declutter like the trees
At this time of year, the trees know what to do. They let go of and release the trees and get ready to reset and renew. We need to think like the trees and release the things we have in our homes that don’t bring joy or serve a purpose.
Pay attention to the over stuffed drawers and cupboards that you have been ignoring and pretending don't exist. Those are affecting you the most.
Incorporate symbols of the season
Bring in decor that symbolizes harvest. Harvest is such an abundant time. Fill bowls with apples, pears, and mini pumpkins. Place them in dining areas and your kitchen to symbolize nourishment and wealth.
Light up your evenings
Autumn evenings invite warmth and as it gets darker earlier, you will want to bring in warm lighting.
Instead of turning on harsh bright lights, light candles or turn on a Himalayan salt lamp. These create a warm, prosperous atmosphere.
Practice a gratitude ritual
In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October. So October for me, is a wonderful month to strengthen my gratitude practice. In the mornings as I journal, I like to write down 3 things that make me grateful.
Gratitude clears stagnant Chi within us and can actually help us turn negative situations into positive ones.
Seasonal prosperity ritual: The harvest bowl
One of my favorite things to do each season is to create a wealth bowl. In the Fall, I call it my Harvest bowl.
Here is how to make one:
Choose a wooden or ceramic bowl.
Fill it with coins, crystals, and seasonal nature items from outside.
Write out some affirmations or wishes for the season and fold them and place them inside.
Place it in your wealth area or in your homes front entrance to welcome prosperity.

Crystal of the Month: Citrine
Citrine: The crystal of joy, money and manifestation. Citrine crystal helps with your solar plexus chakra which gives you that boost of sunshine and confidence for anything you want to create in life. When you want to manifest a certain something, keep citrine all around you.
You can place a Citrine crystal in your wealth area, your homes front entrance, or even wear a piece of jewelry made from Citrine.
Craft moment
With each season my kids and I love to create something pretty. Using your creativity is perfect way to detach from any negativity happening around you and helps you to connect to your inner child.
For this project you will need:
White canvas
Paints and gem stickers
Gold pen
Glitter
I always recommend drawing out the pumpkin shape first so that you have an outline to stay within. Then you can unleash your creative Goddess.
Framing in a gold frame after would be so chic!
The beautiful thing about creating your own art is, you get to decide the energy of it. I love to create when I can't find art that explains how I want my home to feel.
Bonus Feng Shui tip ✨️
Get yourself (or make) a pretty fall wreathe for your front door. When we place a wreathe on the door, it immediately attracts positive energy.
Not only do wreathe make your home look more welcoming, they magnetize abundance.
If you ca, choose a round wreathe, these symbolize wholeness and protection. Be sure that the wreathe is in good condition and features natural elements.
Changing your wreathe with each season helps to keep your entrance energetically fresh. It shows you are in flow with life amd not against it.
