5 Feng Shui tips to upgrade the energy in your home
This past week i went around my home and took note of all the things that need to be upgraded. I am going to share with you 5 things you can do in your home too ✨
Last week i went around my home and took note of everything that needs some new life. I wrote down things like, change the door handles on my bookcase and buy a new welcome mat.
Everything around us, every little thing, holds an energy that is circulating around your home. One of the handles on my bookcase is falling off and every time i see it, it irritates me a little and that is the energy around me. So i wrote everything down and made a plan to slowly do the things.
One of the biggest things about ignoring what needs to be done in the home is, it creates money leaks. Broken objects, that drawer handle that is hanging on by a thread, and that squeaky chair, are all creating abundance leaks around you. There are also things that we can upgrade that maybe don’t need replacing, but will bring in some new opportunities help to change what it is you start to attract.
5 Feng Shui upgrades you need to make in your home
Drawer handles
Just like my bookcase handle that needs to be fixed, one of the simplest and easiest way to upgrade your space is to change the drawer handles that you have.
This will change the whole vibe of the room and give it that little touch of uniqueness that you can’t find anywhere else. I love Ikea furniture and i like to add my own touches like changes handles and even sticking wallpaper to the backs of bookcases and tv stands.
Feng Shui tip: Upgrading your drawer knobs to gold with attract the energy of money and abundance.
Upgrade the scents
What is your candles situation like? Do you have a home filled with almost finished candles? Changing your candles and choosing new scents will make you feel like you are walking around a new home! Smells can trigger memories and if you have any candles that were burning during an argument of tense time, toss them and grab some new smells!
When upgrading our homes we often forget about what smells are in our environment.
You can even grab some linen sprays to spritz when you need to reset your space.
Assess your art
The artwork that is hanging on our walls is sending messages to our subconscious mind all day long. Do a quick scan of all of the art on your walls. What do you not love anymore? If you don’t find replacements right away but a picture gives you negative emotions, remove it for now. A blank space is better than negativity.
If you love all the pictures you have, try and move them to different rooms and walls. This will shake up stagnant energy and bring some new life to your environment.
Clear the entry
The entryway of your home, according to Feng Shui, is known as the mouth of Chi. It is where energy enters your house.
It is the most important area of your home as it determines what type of energy you are welcoming.
Entryway tips:
Make sure you have a welcome mat on the inside and outside of your front door.
Remove clutter and add some organization to this area.
Add a mirror to the left or right wall, never facing the door. This will help energy to move around the home.
Make sure you are keeping the entry clean and clear.
Clean your corners
The corners of our home and often ignored, yet they are so important. In the corners of our rooms is where dust will settle and turn into negative energy.
When we clean our home, pay special attention to the corners. Try and clean them the best you can. Pull furniture forward and really get in those corners!
If you want to take it a step forward, you can place a small piece or quartz crystal to your corners. This will help that energy that settles there, turn into positive energy.
