PLUS your new weekly Feng Shui ritual 🎀

I Love May! Not only is it Mother’s day on the 11th but it is also my birthday the week after! Two weekends of celebrating me is so good for my soul (ha!)

I find that as a mom and wife, life seems to revolve around my family a lot of the time. We also home school so any moment to myself is worth gold!

I have been obsessed lately with self care and Feng Shui rituals, that i can slip into my day so that i can find little moments for me.

I have declared the month of May to be a month of being obsessed with taking care of myself!

Monday to Friday I have been waking up early. I usually wake up at around 6:20am and since we don’t need to rush to school in the mornings, i spend about 2 hours on me. It is glorious! Waking up early is a must to get my day started in the right energy.

I get my workout in, take my supplements, do my skincare, mediate and read. I try and make it very productive. But… if I am tired and need to just rest, I do that. Listening to your body is so important!

I have been reading the Artist's Way by Julie Cameron and I am currently on week one. I love it so far and will write a little review once I am done.

My little routines and rituals also got me thinking about the ones I do in my home every week. The Feng Shui rituals that I do on auto pilot, that are a non negotiable in my home and that reset the energy in my home for a fresh week.

The energy in your home is so important for supporting you. If the energy is aligned and in flow, you are more likely to stick to the routines and plans you set for yourself.

For example; I would not find the motivation to wake up early and work out if I didn’t organize my closet so that I can find my work out clothes every morning. I know that if I couldn’t find my sports bra that I would just get back into bed!

Or, I wouldn’t make a healthy breakfast if my fridge was unorganized and filled with old food.

The energy is your home and the energy within you must be in harmony and flow in order for your life to feel in flow.

If you don’t feel in flow, I promise you, you need to take a look at your home and see what is in your way!

Your New weekly Feng Shui ritual

This brings me to the one thing I do in my home without fail every Monday.

I re-align and adjust my health Gua.

The health gua is probably the most important in your home as it is the center.

If the center of your home is blocked, dusty, cluttered and not healthy, it will effect every area of your life. It is all connected by the center. The health of your relationships will suffer, the relationship you have with money will suffer. The center is the most important place to work on.

Mine is pictured below.

It is the heart and a source of energy in your home. It represents stability, balance and it is the meeting point of yin and yang.

🌸 Declutter and clean this space every Monday. Even if nothing is there, sweep, dust and wipe it down.

🌸 Decorate with earth tones colors like yellow, orange, beige and natural materials such as terracotta, cotton and clay. This promotes stability.

🌸 Add a plant. I have a vase with 3 bamboo stalks placed inside. I change the water every Monday and pull off any dead leaves to keep them healthy.

🌸 If the center of your home is a room, make sure that all furniture is in immaculate condition and that it is comfortable, stable and supportive. Use the command position.

Treat the center of your home how you want life to treat you and it will reflect that.

Now, let me show you some gift basket ideas for Mother,s Day! 🎀

I really like the idea of a gift basket. The thought of all your favorite treats and things in a beautiful basket just feels so luxurious. A gift basket is always a great idea when deciding on what to gift someone.

In this case, gifting a basket of goodies to the mother, mother figure or, to give a hint to your partner or children on what to get you for Mother's day! 🌸

You are a Queen, don't let anyone tell you any differently! 👑

So, sit back and indulge yourself in in these beautiful baskets! Image credits to Pinterest.

I love the next one for Mother's day on a budget! A drink, a giftcard and a little bouquet of flowers… perfect!

When building a basket, it helps to first think of a theme. This could be floral, food, gardening, music, cooking or, self care. It can really be anything.

Then choosing the perfect basket and filling it with things you know Mom would love!

The gift of Feng Shui is also so perfect this Mother’s Day. Shop Feng Shui consultations HERE!
